OVERVIEW

KCB Series Gear Pump is a common and widely used equipment among industrial oil pumps. It is mainly suitable for conveying various lubricating liquids and liquids with similar properties, where the temperature does not exceed 150? and the viscosity is no more than 1500cst. The equipment is manufactured with hard tooth surfaces and equipped with a protection valve, which provides overload protection for the motor.

Application Scope of KCB Series Gear Pump:

KCB Gear Oil Pump can be used as a transfer pump and booster pump in oil transmission systems; as a fuel pump for conveying, pressurizing and injecting in fuel systems; as a hydraulic pump for providing hydraulic power in hydraulic transmission systems; and as a lubricating oil pump in the industrial field.

KCB Series Gear Pump is suitable for the repair of parts and equipment made of various materials. Its working principle is to directly apply an adhesive mixed with fillers such as molybdenum disulfide, metal powder, ceramic powder and fibers to the surface of materials or parts, endowing them with functions such as corrosion resistance. The process of KCB Series Gear Pump is simple, convenient and flexible, requiring no special equipment. It only needs to apply the prepared adhesive to the cleaned surface of parts, and then trim them after curing. It can be operated at room temperature without causing heat equivalent effects or deformation of parts.

KCB Gear Pump Installation Sequence:

  • During the installation process, all holes of the unit should be covered to prevent debris from falling into the machine.
  • After connecting the pipelines and confirming the rotation direction of the motor, connect the coupling and recheck the concentricity of the shafts.
  • Correct the concentricity of the pump shaft and the motor shaft. The allowable deviation on the outer circle of the coupling is 0.1 mm; the gap between the two coupling planes should be 2-4 mm (smaller value for small pumps), and the gap should be uniform with an allowable deviation of 0.3 mm.
  • Place the unit on the foundation with embedded anchor bolts, and use paired wedge pads between the base and the foundation for correction.
  • To prevent debris in the pipelines from entering the pump, a filter should be installed at the pump inlet for newly installed pipelines, and its effective cross-section should be 2-3 times larger than that of the suction pipe.
  • Loosen the coupling, place a level on the pump shaft and the base respectively, correct the levelness of the unit by adjusting the wedge pads, and properly tighten the anchor bolts to prevent movement.
  • After the unit has been in actual trial operation for 2-3 hours, conduct a final inspection. If there are no abnormal phenomena, the installation is considered qualified.

    

Operation of Mechanical Seal for KCB Gear Oil Pump (Oil Transfer Pump):

  • If there is slight leakage after the KCB Gear Oil Pump (Oil Transfer Pump) is started, it should be observed for a period of time. If the leakage does not decrease after the gear pump operates continuously for 4 hours, the pump should be stopped for inspection.
  • The operating pressure of the KCB Gear Oil Pump (Oil Transfer Pump) should be stable, with a pressure fluctuation not exceeding 1 kg/cm².
  • During the operation of the KCB Gear Oil Pump (Oil Transfer Pump), the phenomenon of cavitation should be avoided to prevent dry friction on the sealing surface and damage to the seal.
  • The sealing condition of the gear pump should be checked regularly. During operation, if the leakage exceeds the standard (more than 5 drops per minute for heavy oil and no more than 10 drops per minute for light oil), and there is no improvement trend within 2-3 days, the pump should be stopped to check the sealing device.

Installation of Mechanical Seal for Gear Oil Pump:

  • Before starting the KCB Gear Oil Pump (Oil Transfer Pump), the seal cavity should be kept full of liquid. When conveying solidifying media, steam should be used to heat the seal cavity to melt the media. Rotate the pump shaft manually before starting to prevent the soft ring from breaking due to sudden start-up.
  • For the mechanical seal using the external oil sealing system of the gear pump, the oil sealing system should be started first. Stop the oil sealing system after the pump is shut down.
  • After the pump is shut down, the cooling water for the oil seal cavity and the end face seal cannot be stopped immediately. The cooling water can only be stopped when the oil temperature at the end face seal drops below 80? to avoid damaging the seal parts.
